DeWalt has redesigned their compact line of drill/drivers to produce more torque and provide increased durability. Weighing just 4.2 pounds the DW928K-2 14.4 volt drill/driver delivers 350 in./lbs of maximum torque, thanks to the DeWalt-built Series 3000 high performance motor. The DW928 has an 18-position adjustable clutch for driving screws without overdriving them. The dual range 0-450/0-1,400 rpm VSR feature provides flexibility for both large and small applications. Other features include a 3/8-inch ratcheting chuck that provides increased gripping strength and all metal plantary gears for increased durability. The kit includes the drill/driver, 1-hour charger, two compact batteries, double-ended screwdriver bit, and heavy duty kit box.

Whether it's made in Germany or on Venus, it's still the best drill on the market. I've used this drill five days a week for the last year - in wood, brick, paster, drywall, and even concrete. It has never failed me. Buy it now.

This is an excellent all-around drill.
When I recently needed to purchase a cordless drill, I headed on down to the local LOWES so I could do a hands-on comparison of all the drills in my price range.
I was unhappy to find out that the DeWalt was the ONLY cordless drill in this class that is MADE IN THE USA.
Milwaukee Tool Company's drill is made in Germany.
Skil is made in Mexico
Makita is made in Taiwan and Japan
Black and Decker is made in China
Porter-Cable is made in China
This whole process took me around an hour and twenty minutes....but it was worth every second for me to know that my purchase would help a fellow American keep his/her job in the States (for now).
I think we should all investigate where our dollars are going once they leave our hands. This DeWalt is my first of many purchases from a company which is commited to our country.
Besides the countless recomendations I got from friends in the building business, I also know that DeWalt supports the Professional Bull Riders tour and what is more American than the sport of Rodeo???
So, do your homework and choose wisely, but if you go with this drill, you will not be disappointed.
