From the Manufacturer
Features a powerful 9.4 Amp motor and an optimal drilling capacity of 5/8 in. to 1-1/4 in. The DW531K has stop rotation with Bit Lock that permits use with self drilling anchors and allows user to "unwind" jammed bits. DeWalt Spline Drive Hammers are designed for fast, efficient penetration of brick, block, stone and concrete of all compressive strengths, aggregate compositions and ages. DeWalt Spline Hammers accept a wide variety of accessories for drilling, chipping, ground rod driving, tamping, concrete bushing, digging, asphalt cutting and channeling. The built-in clutch reduces sudden torque reaction if the bit jams and the cooling system circulates air around the mechanism to ensure longer tool life. Kit includes side handle, depth rod, and carrying case. One year warranty, One year service contract, 30 day no-risk trial

I bought one of these a couple of years ago. Before that I had the Hitaci DH38YE I also had the Bosch 1 1/2" spline hammer. I have to be honest. The Bosch is a better tool. It just hits harder. It also runs cooler. The Dewalt isn't a bad tool. It's just that there are better hammers on the market. I sold all of them and got an SDS max hammer. It blows spline away. It is quickly replacing spline as the top rotary hammer offering. It is a tighter mechamism and transfers more power to the bit. this means faster drilling speeds and less vibration to your hands.
