If you are a homeowner looking for a drill for everyday projects, this is the one.
It has plenty of power, and responds incredibly. I've used a cheaper Skil drill that takes off spinning at the touch of the trigger. The Makita rotates according to the pressure of your finger, so you can rotate a screw or drill bit slowly when you need to. It also stops on a dime, instead of spinning down like other drills. Good luck unscrewing a nearly-stripped screw with a cheaper drill.
Also, the flashlight, although it seems to be a frivilous bonus, is worth its weight in gold. It is much brighter than any D-battery flashlight, and has an adjustable head so you can angle it at your project. It is perfect when doing electrical work (when you have no power or lights in your work area). I think I have used that more than the drill.
You will not regret getting this set.
